# cracking and popping joints
How to accomplish the lovely back popping that happens L5-S1ish...
- It is mainly just breath
- Can be done on my front
- laying on bolster or table
- or just on the ground
- Can be done on my side, just a relaxed fetal position
- Can be done on my back
- just laying there
- support bridge (legs in)
## Back cracking
Something vaguly around my L5 - S1 has been popping (this started in late 2023)
It happens in supported bridge when I really breath into it.
It also happens when I just breath and let that part of abdomen go
also it happens on my back and on my side and sometimes on my front
it can also happen during massage
It always feels good when it happens, to the point where I actively want it to happen and am a little frustrated when it doesn't happen.
