- Replicate bright spots (i.e. how are similar orgs thriving)
- Build relationships
- Use stories
- Foster community
- Facilitate the contributions of others
- Make taking small steps very easy ([[foot in the door technique]])
- Make it easy for people to identify as part of the solution
- Leverage data and notes
- Focus on efforts that are
- Scalable
- Grow over time without significant input
- Pursue the mission at the same time
- Provide value to the funder (keep their needs top of mind)
- Avoid low reward, unscalable, and risky efforts
- Automate as often as possible (but stay human)
