Meditation is one [[practice]] to pursue [[mindfulness]]. It is a pro-longed look inward. Remember that there is only [[life]]. [[Mindfulness]] is not something that only happens in [[meditation]], but I do find life is better then I do it #Time/Everyday. It is a great compliment to [[exercise]] and basically everything. ## Just do it There have to be things like grounding yourself that make you more likely to meditate.... Small step - breath, just start. [[stillness]] ## Make it - obvious, attractive, easy, satisfying Small steps - Practive just doing it. - 10 breaths - 5 things - 1 minute timer - List 2 or 3 prompts. Do one of them - Put on a super short guided meditation - Put on a song and follow along - Put on a guided - ?Go to library chair to do it ## Stretch goals - Do it in my dreams - Do it through a bunch of #Cue - Do it socially ## Being guided by "experts" feels like it is missing something - [[self knowledge]] is best - [[guide yourself]] ## Misc - I enjoy long session but tend not to do them unless I am with others. - I've tried [[Headspace]] and [[Waking Up - App]]. I prefer Waking Up. - Look deeper into [[metta meditation]] - look into [[analytical mediation]] - vipasanna - ?insight meditation # falling asleep meditating Not super common for me these days (2023) Does occasionally happen when I'm really tired.
