I have a unique set of experiences with homelessness. I actually think the word homeless is often [[inaccurate words|inaccurate]]. In 2022, I made a new friend named Mark who lived beside the library in a tent with his dog Mabel. Mark was my neighbor. The city evicted him. He's still my neighbor but I haven't found him yet. I want everyone to have shelter where they feel safe. This is something accomplishable. I think it's important to understand that tents can be homes. If the city won't make better housing possible it shouldn't make feeling at home harder. ## Dear reader... I would encourage you to be friendly with everyone, including people you think are homeless. If you find yourself homeless And you need to connect with someone please come find me. Home is where your heart is, and I know not having a roof can be hard, but I don't ever want you to feel like you don't have a home.
